Folded Structures introduces the FoldStar software, a new mathematical folding theory for designing deployable structures and composite structural panels. The technology offers diverse capacity to engineer, manufacture, and self-assemble periodically folded sheet material.
Folded Structures Company (FSC) is a high technology start-up established to develop new products and exploit certain proprietary, mathematically-based technologies including, but not limited to, the following:
- Mathematical algorithms used to define folding patterns and the software program being developed to provide a user-friendly interface to engineers and designers of new products.
- Analytical methods for providing 2-D and 3-D image analyses to the medical and bio-tech communities.
- Advanced three-dimensional braiding equipment for manufacturing of high-tech composite products.
FSC expects to leverage it Intellectual Property with internally generated capital and outside investor funding to advance its state-of-the-art technologies into commercially viable products that provide value and competitive advantage to its users.
